Eddy Kirya is proud to have contributed to the conversation about Uganda’s extraordinary natural beauty through CNN Travel’s feature, “Uganda: Source of the Nile and other natural wonders”.
Indeed, for me, sharing Uganda with the world goes beyond showcasing beautiful destinations. Additionally, it tells Uganda’s stories, celebrates its heritage, and helps travellers appreciate the experiences that make Uganda special.
Furthermore, Jinja, home to the Source of the Nile, remains one of Uganda’s most remarkable destinations. The river connects visitors to an important geographical landmark. It provides unforgettable adventures, such as boat excursions, kayaking, and white-water rafting.
Yet Uganda’s appeal extends far beyond Jinja. From Murchison Falls and Sipi Falls to the Rwenzori Mountains, Mabira Forest, and Ssezibwa Falls, Uganda offers diverse landscapes. It also includes wildlife, adventure, and cultural experiences.
Being part of a CNN Travel feature about these natural wonders presents an opportunity to widen Uganda’s appeal. It highlights Uganda as a destination worth exploring. International travel coverage helps bring attention to the places, communities and tourism experiences that make our country unique.
As someone involved in tourism in Jinja, I value opportunities to share knowledge about our destinations and encourage visitors to discover more of what Uganda has to offer. I believe that every story told about our country can help inspire travel, create opportunities for local communities and strengthen Uganda’s presence on the international tourism stage.
I am grateful to have contributed to this important conversation and look forward to continuing to promote Jinja and Uganda to the world.
Uganda has remarkable stories to tell, and I am proud to play a part in sharing them.
